I'm saddened to report our team member and friend LB has passed away. He touched so many of us with his good nature and support. He helped us with the game we love and real life issues. I can't say enough good things about him. When something like this happens it gives us a reality check on how fragile life really is. We can't take for granted we will be here tomorrow so we should live for today. I personally wish I could talk to him one more time. Lets keep LB and his family in our thoughts and prayers. We will be closing all of our servers in 1.3 and source for 5 minutes Friday at 12:00 noon to honor LB.

Merrill

           Our DoD Source Map of the Month is Anvil.

This is a medium to large map that is set in a half-destroyed town. There are five flags with a two-man cap in the middle. The second and fourth flags are also two-man for the allies and axis to recapture (respectively), but only one-man for the opposing team to capture.

It is a very professionally done map that is beautiful and realistic looking. The framerates are very, very good for a good size map with this much eye-candy.

Dod_anvil is a well-balanced map with good flow, and a good balance between open areas and the inside of buildings. It is suitable for match play.

This map is complete remake of a map originally made for DoD classic called dod_bocage. Bocage was foggy, and grey, and had a three man cap in the middle.
